The leading engineered wood manufacturer SWISS KRONO has had consistent success in presenting new ideas to trade fair visitors. Inspired by the recently launched “kiwi-wall” wall panels, the Menznau-based company partnered with Messerli to design a space with an open, refreshing and at the same time surprising feel. Characterised by natural colours, rounded edges and slants, the design generated a special energy which attracted many visitors to the trade fair booth to discover its latest products.
The SWISS KRONO booth featured a timbered frame in the shape of a house and rear walls covered with samples of the manufacturer’s engineered wood products. A special highlight, however, was the ceiling installation consisting of joined, laser-cut MDF elements covered in colourful stretch fabrics to create a large-scale, three-dimensional composition. This work of art became a topic of conversation and motivated visitors to associate it with SWISS KRONO.
SWISS KRONO presented its samples, especially its innovative “SenseSation” and “BE.VELVET” lines, on moveable panels. These allowed visitors to explore the new products on their own. The “kiwi-wall” in the exhibition hall’s entrance also made a strong impression, with a variety of selected materials used creatively to cover the counter. In addition, most of the furniture was crafted from the company’s own product range, creating a through line of materials in the design concept. These included waterproof engineered wood products such as the waterproof flooring “artureon” and the new “Corepel Pure”.
With this fresh and inspiring trade fair design concept, SWISS KRONO once again showed itself to be an authentic, innovative and forward-looking partner for engineered wood products.
