Diverse materials staged in a creative manner

Swiss Krono AG, HOLZ-HANDWERK 2022, Nürnberg

SWISS KRONO specialises in the production and finishing of wood-based materials. Messerli was commissioned to develop a new trade fair concept for this long-standing customer that would stage its new products in a creative manner. The presentation had to be realised entirely from SWISS KRONO materials.

SWISS KRONO uses Swiss wood to produce its high-quality materials for interior fittings and furniture construction, for room acoustics and for high-quality laminate flooring. The trade fair concept with its modern, abstract tree shapes establishes a fitting reference to Swiss forests.

Thanks to skilful zoning and a careful choice of materials, it was possible to illustrate the diversity of materials through the stand architecture whilst maintaining a harmonious overall image. With six different laminate floors and over ten different wall decors, this task required a trained eye. Design furniture from Messerli’s pool of rental materials added the perfect finishing touch and created a warm, homely atmosphere.

The stackable cubes filled with wood chips and shavings represented a particularly clever detail. Visitors were able to touch the raw materials used in SWISS KRONO’s various wood panels and breathe in the smell of freshly cut wood to their heart’s content.

The new concept is designed to be adaptable to different stand spaces. Given that Swissbau was unable to go ahead as usual in January, SWISS KRONO showed its new stand for the first time at the beginning of July at the HOLZ-HANDWERK trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany. Around 28,500 trade visitors streamed through the halls on the four days of the fair and appreciated the opportunity for personal interaction.
