With Zoofäscht 2018, the Zoo Festival Association collected donations for the new Savannah area at Zurich Zoo. Approximately 850 invited guests enjoyed an evening with the flair of the 1920s – and a show act with especially long necks.
Messerli took on the construction management for Zoofäscht and coordinated the logistics, all the workers involved and partners from the Messerli Group. Hunziker AG erected the four tents for the event next to the Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park – and so covered an area of around 3500 square-metres. Konform AG decorated them in the glamorous style of the 1920s in line with the theme.
In addition to the festival hall with the show stage, a lounge and a hidden bar were also created. Together, the companies of the Messerli Group created a unique atmosphere: a successful mix of glamour and the rustic flair of the prohibition era.
Dr.W.A.Günther Media Rent AG ensured that light and sound effects were in place to create the atmosphere. Guests clearly enjoyed the evening and celebrated in a relaxed atmosphere with live music after the gala dinner. Secret stars of the evening were walking acts in life-size giraffe costumes who entertained throughout the evening. In the course of the event, the Zoofäscht Committee handed a generous donation to the management of the zoo.
