Craftsmanship meets innovation

OPO World is a highlight for the carpentry, wood, glass and metal construction industries, and this year’s trade show featured four days of expertise, visions for the future, innovations and networking. 160 exhibitors on an impressive 4,000 square metres of exhibition space offered visitors a wide array of innovative products and services.

As general contractor, Messerli oversaw the planning and implementation of the entire trade show infrastructure, including wayfinding signage in the interior and exterior areas. The necessary materials arrived in Kloten in seven lorries and were set up over the course of four days in day and night shifts. Modular stands were built in rows, head-to-head or in corner configurations for optimal use of space. These modular systems allow for fast, flexible set-up. The exhibition booths of trade show host OPO Oeschger were accentuated with different backdrop walls and carpets.

Messerli also provided rental furniture for some of the booths as well as the seating for the Bistro in Hall 1 – a popular meeting spot. This made OPO World much more than simply a product exhibition and trade show. Its varied programme and diverse opportunities for encounters offered visitors genuine experiences and added value.
