Woodpecker AG, HOLZ, Basel

At Holz 2025, the trade fair booth of the Swiss wood specialist Woodpecker AG lived up to its name: like its forest-dwelling avian namesake, Woodpecker presented itself in a natural setting – and became a popular meeting place with visitors all week long. Woodpecker’s own “Woodyhui” beer, appealing product presentation and lively conversation drew countless visitors to its booth.

Messerli, with attention to detail and a clear concept, provided the planning and implementation for this successful presentation. A special challenge involved effectively displaying Woodpecker’s diverse materials. Messerli developed appropriate ideas to incorporate the wide assortment while Woodpecker provided accents like colourful tablecloths, façade elements and flooring.

The booth boasted a harmonious mix of sustainable materials that presented Woodpecker’s products authentically and a furniture concept that fitted perfectly with the overall look.

The booth area also featured an almost four-metre-high tree standing at its centre. It didn’t feature a woodpecker, but instead provided visitors with a place for many lively discussions. A digital stele with a memory game offered entertainment and lengthened visitors’ stays.

The result was a trade fair booth with variety, pleasant ambience and warm hospitality offering visitors a natural and inviting spot to meet and converse.
