Welcome to the new logistics centre!

After a year of work, Messerli’s new logistics centre in Wil ZH is operational. Material previously stored for customers at multiple sites can now be brought together. This consolidation will increase service efficiency and quality for live communication logistics.

Press release

Messerli’s Corporate Services Business Unit is taking on operational and logistics tasks related to marketing for more and more companies. Customer needs are varied and complex, be it handling event equipment or managing promotional material. The Messerli logistics team delivers material on time to venues, stores it professionally after use and prepares it for reuse. The new logistics centre will make this individual service even more professional and efficient.

The modern, two-storey warehouse was built by METHABAU from Amriswil, a leading provider of modern commercial and industrial buildings. It has eight storage halls with a total usable area of 12,600 m2. Three halls have high shelving and can store 4,300 pallets. Shelves are to be fitted in the other halls to make optimal use of space. Material can be handled easily thanks to six lorry ramps.

Energy needs are covered by solar power

Energy needs are covered by solar power via a photovoltaic system. 3,013 modules over a surface of 5,246 m2 are expected to generate 1,200 MWh of electricity per year, which exceeds requirements seven or eightfold. The extra electricity will be injected into the grid and is sufficient for around 300 households. The system will avoid estimated CO2 emissions of 550,000 kg per year. Messerli is helping to ensure more sustainability in the live experience sector. The measure is part of its long-term sustainability strategy, for which it aims to obtain ISO 20121 certification.
