Christmas in Summer

Happy Christmas!

It’s Christmas time. For weeks, greetings have been arriving in the form of cards or emails. People are wishing others good health, success and a happy Christmas. The present table in the office is growing. Gifts from clients and partner companies in the form of sweet foods or hearty apéro nibbles are waiting to be eaten. Wherever you go, the windows have been decorated. Coloured lights everywhere convey warmth and anticipation of the forthcoming festival of love.

Unfortunately, the Christmas lights don’t shine as brightly for everyone. For some people in Switzerland, the bright lights are dulled by existential worries of hardship and poverty. As a socially committed company, we would like to take a stand and help these people. This is why Andreas Messerli AG has decided to actively support social assistance projects in Switzerland.

Rather than giving client gifts, Messerli employees will in future devote one day a year to working on a chosen social project. This work is voluntary and the company will cover all costs associated with it.

We are looking forward to next summer when we will be spending a day in the Swiss Alps working on a project with the aid agency Caritas. The project is being coordinated and led by  Caritas Switzerland. We will provide a full report on the project on our blog.

We are pleased that we are able to move something with our contribution!
