USTER Technologies AG, Open house, Uster

In September, one of the largest private employers in Uster opened its doors to the public. With lots of fun, games and fascinating factory tours, USTER Technologies offered visitors a behind-the-scenes look at a leading textile technology company. For this purpose, the company parking lot was transformed into a lively festival ground and the production hall into a museum.

In cooperation with the client, Messerli developed the overall concept for this multi-faceted event. With the help of informative graphics on key topics in the textile industry and a clever signage concept, the roughly 1,200 guests were able to independently explore the world of USTER both indoors and outdoors during their tour.

The festival’s highlights included the central marquee with a stage where guests enjoyed live music, the installation of the USTER Jossi Vision Shield and the impressive presentation of Quantum 4.0 using a bobbin winder. In between the presentations and performances, a digital memory game inspired visitors to get involved, while printed balloons and a retro photo bus made sure that they would take some wonderful memories of the day home with them. To ensure that the event remained an unforgettable one for the host as well, visitors had the opportunity to decorate two park benches with stamps featuring USTER’s corporate values and culture. To keep younger guests entertained, the event also included a surprise judo demonstration, a bouncy castle and a giant table football game.

Several food trucks from the region were on hand, offering a variety of food and beverage options, while festive picnic tables and benches invited visitors to relax and unwind. The unmistakable Crossover structure from our mobile Event Constructions range was used as a canopy over the Cottonclub Bar in the outdoor area, where USTER employees served guests with a smile.

Messerli demonstrated its expertise as an event specialist through the comprehensive organisation of the event and the clever use of its own mobile event structures. The successful combination of information, entertainment and culinary delights made this day a highlight for the guests – and for all of the USTER employees.
